Kristen tagged me several posts ago and I am going to try to divulge some things about me that I usually keep tucked away. Let's see, 7, huh?
1. I tend to do things to the point where I burn out and then I wait 5-10 years or longer to do it again ie: have kids, nursing, cross-stitching, sewing, painting, knitting, scrap booking... Some things you wouldn't even know I know how to do because I have given all the evidence of it away.
2. I love to ski but I'm afraid of heights which is strange because every year at family reunion Jess or Tim get me to jump out of the tree on a swing that requires climbing an adjacent tree, holding onto the chain and hoping that your bottom lands on the seat of the swing and not on the ground. I only have to do it once a year and then my turn is over. Just thinking about it creeps me out but if my 70-something cousin can do it, I'd better. I'm not very competitive, am I? I'm not that coordinated.
3. As a kid, I was always climbing the Horse Chestnut tree and spying on any who dared sit under my tree. Who hasn't wanted to be a fly on the wall listening to your children do show and tell or star of the week presentations. Maybe I have a secret desire to be a spy or an FBI agent or an elf. I guess that I'm saying that I'm sneaky.....comes from having 3 older brothers and 4 older and one younger sister.
4. I have a purple belt in Tae Kwon Do. I love the art and the gracefulness and the strength of mind and body it gives to you. I haven't found a teacher that encourages me to get back into it so for now I'm all about Yoga and Pilates.
5. I haven't any clue when it comes to decorating, walls especially. I guess I love a clean, pristine wall. They are calming, and not distracting. There isn't much on any of ours, except the ones Tim or Marice hung.
6. I have a love of fantasy! Sections at the library call it science fiction but I mostly love visiting places where elves, dwarfs, druids, trees, and other fantastic people exist. I have found that the real world also has really fantastic people in it.
7. I have lost 18 inches and 50 pounds and believe me I'm not going to go looking for it. It can just stay lost. I'm very careful to eat healthy foods. Whole grain, nothing that has to include enriched as an ingredient, No sugars unless I put it there myself. The word hydrogenated or high fructose or any other ose wont be found in my kitchen.
8. I know it is only supposed to be 7 weird facts but now that I'm at it I might as well divulge that I love to water ski also but I don't know how to swim. I can doggy paddle and pretend to swim to impress my children to get into the water and learn what I'm not qualified to teach them.
9. That goes for playing the piano also. I love to pretend that I can play it but I know enough to encourage my children to keep practicing not only for the sake of the instructor but for my selfishness. I LOVE to hear them play. They have a talent that I can only pretend to have.
10. I have the gift of gab and secret blab. My own, of course. And I can't count, 8,9 and 10 are not part of the title of this entry. And this whole thing is incredibly wordy, forgive me.

I love reading your facts, no matter how many you wish to include. It is so fun to learn new things about people. I did not know any of those things.
Thanks for taking the time to post. Have a Merry Christmas!
As for fact #8: you forgot to mention that although you can only do the doggy paddle, you are an EXCELLENT floater! (Yes, it's a skill!) :P
Thanks for sharing!
